        <div class="b_Body"><a name="856274">The Activity Slips view of the Enter Activity Slip window enables you to record detailed activity slips one at a </a>time. When you enter activity slips using this view of the window, you can bill your customers for the time you spend performing activities, include this time as an entry on a timesheet and print accurate time billing reports. </div>

        <div class="b_Body"><a name="855232">Type or select the name of the employee who performed the activity for which you’re creating the activity slip. </a>If a supplier performed the activity, type or select the relevant supplier card.</div>
        <div class="hps_ProcedureSubheading"><a name="855242">Slip ID </a>#</div>
        <div class="b_Body"><a name="856332">This field automatically displays the next activity slip number available. If you choose to enter a different </a>number in the ID # field, note that the next time you record an Activity Slip, the ID # will automatically revert to the next available AS number; the number you entered earlier will be disregarded. </div>
        <div class="hps_ProcedureSubheading"><a name="856339">Date</a></div>
        <div class="b_Body"><a name="855258">Type the date of this activity slip.</a></div>
        <div class="hps_ProcedureSubheading"><a name="855265">Customer</a></div>
        <div class="b_Body"><a name="855266">Type or select the customer for whom you performed the activity. You must select a customer name if you’re </a>creating an activity slip for a chargeable activity. </div>
        <div class="hps_ProcedureSubheading"><a name="855271">Activity</a></div>
        <div class="b_Body"><a name="855272">Type or select the ID of the activity for which you’re creating this activity slip.</a></div>
        <div class="hps_ProcedureSubheading"><a name="855273">Units</a></div>
        <div class="b_Body"><a name="855274">Type the number of units for the activity you’ve performed. If you use the timer, or make manual timer entries, </a>the calculated units will be entered automatically. In the Preferences window, you can choose to round the units entered using the timer.</div>
        <div class="hps_ProcedureSubheading"><a name="855283">Rate</a></div>
        <div class="b_Body"><a name="855284">Type the rate you want to charge for one hour or unit of the activity. The default entry that appears here is the </a>rate that was entered on the activity’s record. This field appears for chargeable activities only.</div>
        <div class="hps_ProcedureSubheading"><a name="855293">Job</a></div>
        <div class="b_Body"><a name="855294">If you want to allocate this activity slip to a job, type or select the job number in this field. This field appears for </a>chargeable activities only.</div>
        <div class="hps_ProcedureSubheading"><a name="855299">Notes</a></div>
        <div class="b_Body"><a name="855300">Type any notes you want to record with this activity slip. You can choose to include your notes on time billing </a>invoices.</div>
        <div class="hps_ProcedureSubheading"><a name="855301">Unit of Measurement (the first row on the right hand side of this window)</a></div>
        <div class="b_Body"><a name="855302">The first column displays the units of work you entered in the Units field. The value of this work is displayed as </a>a currency amount in the second column (chargeable activities only). </div>
        <div class="hps_ProcedureSubheading"><a name="855304">Adjustment</a></div>
        <div class="b_Body"><a name="855305">If you want to adjust that number of units and the amount that you’ll bill the customer for, enter your </a>adjustment in the fields on this row. If you want to bill the customer for fewer hours/units or a lesser amount, enter your adjustment as a negative number. Note that if you adjust the hours/units, the field in the second column will recalculate automatically.</div>
        <div class="hps_ProcedureSubheading"><a name="855311">Billable</a></div>
        <div class="b_Body"><a name="855312">These fields display the billable hours or units and billable amount for this activity slip. The field in the first </a>column displays the billable hours/units, or the sum of the actual hours/units and any adjustment hours/units you’ve entered. The field in the second column displays the billable amount, taking into account the adjustment amount.</div>
        <div class="hps_ProcedureSubheading"><a name="855313">Already Billed</a></div>
        <div class="b_Body"><a name="855314">If you have already billed a portion of the billable amount of this activity slip on a time billing invoice, the </a>amount will appear in these fields. The entry is expressed in hours/units and as a currency amount.</div>
        <div class="b_Body"><a name="855318">If you created a time billing invoice for this activity slip manually, you can enter the amount you’ve already </a>billed in the first column’s field as hours/units or in the second column’s field as a currency amount.</div>
        <div class="hps_ProcedureSubheading"><a name="855323">Left To Bill</a></div>
        <div class="b_Body"><a name="855324">This field displays the amount left to bill for this activity slip in hours/units and as a currency amount. </a></div>
        <div class="hps_ProcedureSubheading"><a name="857242">Include Hours on Timesheet</a></div>
        <div class="b_Body"><a name="857243">Select this option if you want the hours that you’ve entered on the activity slip to be included in the employee’s </a>timesheet.</div>

        <div class="hps_ProcedureSubheading"><a name="855345">Start/Stop</a></div>
        <div class="b_Body"><a name="855346">Click this button to start the timer. </a>This field appears only if the activity selected in this window is billed on an hourly basis.</div>
        <div class="b_Body"><a name="856591">If you haven’t entered a start time in the Start Time field, your current system time appears in the Start Time </a>field and the timer starts in the Elapsed Time field. </div>
        <div class="b_Body"><a name="855347">If you’ve entered a start time that is before the current system time, the timer will calculate the difference </a>between the start time you entered and the current time to determine the elapsed time. For example, if you entered 8:00 AM in the Start Time field and then clicked the Start button at 9:00 AM, the timer would calculate the Elapsed Time field as 1:00:00 and would continue timing from this value.</div>
        <div class="b_Body"><a name="856574">When the timer has started, the Start button becomes the Stop button. If you want to stop the timer, click </a>Stop. The current system time appears in the Stop Time field and the timer stops in the Elapsed Time field. The elapsed time appears in the Actual Units field (if you want to round the timer automatically, make your rounding selection in the Preferences window, which is accessible from the Setup menu). </div>
        <div class="b_Body"><a name="856584">To resume timing the activity, click the Start button again.</a></div>
        <div class="hps_ProcedureSubheading"><a name="855355">Start Time</a></div>
        <div class="b_Body"><a name="855356">When you click the Start button, your current system time appears in this field. If the timer hasn’t started, you </a>can enter a start time in this field.</div>

        <div class="b_Body"><a name="855362">When you click the Stop button, your current system time appears in this field. If the timer hasn’t started, you </a>can enter a stop time in this field. The difference between the time in this field and the time in the Start Time field is the elapsed time. Whether you’ve entered time manually or used the timer, elapsed time appears in the Actual Units field (if you want to round the timer automatically, make your rounding selection in the Preferences window, which is accessible from the Setup menu).</div>
